Ephesians 1:15-16

"For this reason, ever since I heard about your faith in the Lord Jesus and your love for all the saints, I have not stopped giving thanks for you, remembering you in my prayers."

Short today. But really, I am struck by the fact that we are to be THANKFUL for believers and PRAY for them. How many times do we pray for the REQUESTS people have, but what about just generally praying for people we know and love in Christ? I know it is so much easier for me to pray for SPECIFIC prayer requests. My "need to know" wants to KNOW what I am praying for. I have a friend right now who is struggling with something and he doesn't want to share and it is SO hard for me to pray for him because I don't know what I am praying for, yet I forget that GOD DOES! I don't have to, I should jus...
t be willing to pray and give thanks for this friend and his walk in faith.

So this week I am going to try to remember to give thanks and pray (not just for my friend) but for all of my friends who are believers and can use the prayers, whether they are willing to voice their needs or not.

Father, after a LONG day yesterday and knowing I have a busy morning, I didn't want to sit down and do this, but doing it and then seeing reminders to pray and give thanks made me renewed in You. I know that my tired is nothing compared to some peoples' struggles and I need to give thanks! As I start my busy day, I am going to focus today on praying for people who are on my heart but I don't have specific requests for, TRUSTING that You know what is happening in their lives and You are in control. Thank You for the many blessings in my life! Including the busy schedule that can help me make some money and be able to stay home for my kids!
