Ephesians 4:4-6

"There is one body and one Spirit--just as you were called to one hope when you were called--one Lord, one faith, one baptism; one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all."

Gee, might there be ONE theme here? Could it be unity? Hmmm...first we spend 3 chapters focusing on love....then we start on unity....and the same thing is the source of both. You get that deep love from God and you can only accomplish unity through God and his love. You don't find judgement, critical words, anger, or whining in here. That isn't a part of God's love! You find hope! What do we hope for? Do we hope for things for ourselves or hope that God's will be known throughout the world?

Today as I am busy again I will focus on the fact that God has called us to focus on the similarities, not the differences! God loves everyone, no matter their faith, their family or their looks! I need to love like that too!

Father, as we go through each day, we so often allow our vision of the world to cloud our judgement. Today I am going to focus on Your unity! That is Your will for us! That we be unified in Your love! Thank you for caring enough to love me!

Amen
